Strengthening Denmark’s Arctic security with MQ-9B SeaGuardian

Precision Technic Defence has been promoting the MQ-9B SeaGuardian system to the Danish Defence, following the formal contract acknowledgement at DALO Industry Days 2025. The unmanned aerial system represents a major step forward in Denmark’s long-range surveillance, intelligence, and reconnaissance capabilities, strengthening its strategic presence around Greenland and across the Arctic.

Next-generation unmanned aerial system

Developed by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, the MQ-9B SeaGuardian is one of the world’s most advanced remotely piloted aircrafts. With endurance exceeding 40 hours, it enables persistent intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions over vast distances. Its multi-sensor suite, including maritime radar and electro-optical/infrared cameras, delivers high-resolution data in all weather conditions, while satellite-based command and control allows operations far beyond line of sight.

Enhancing Danish strategic presence in the Arctic

The SeaGuardian is uniquely equipped to monitor maritime activity around Greenland and throughout the broader Arctic, where geopolitical dynamics and foreign strategic interests make enhanced Danish presence and situational awareness critical. By providing persistent surveillance and detailed intelligence on maritime activities, the system will play a key role in safeguarding Denmark’s sovereignty and supporting its international obligations in the region.
