New collaboration secures delivery of custom-built vehicles to the Danish Armed Forces

Together with Precision Technic Defence, Precision Services, and Ejner Hessel A/S, the Danish Armed Forces are now launching a historic modernisation of their vehicle fleet. Ejner Hessel A/S has signed a comprehensive agreement with the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) for the delivery of new, custom-built Mercedes-Benz G-Class vehicles. Precision Technic Defence A/S plays a key role in the delivery as Ejner Hessel’s sole subcontractor and will be responsible for the preparation and modification of the vehicles in close cooperation with Precision Services.

New G-Class vehicles replace ageing fleet

The new G-Class vehicles will replace existing ones in the Danish Armed Forces, many of which have been in service for nearly 40 years. They will be deployed for a wide range of tasks, including incident command, patrolling, command and control functions, and support roles across various military units. The agreement marks a significant step in modernising the Danish Armed Forces’ capabilities and helps ensure that future operational tasks can be met effectively.

Strong recognition for Precision Technic Defence

Brian Hvilshøj, Managing Director at Precision Technic Defence, welcomes the partnership and the opportunities it brings: “We are very proud to have been chosen as a partner for this agreement and see it as a strong recognition of our experience and expertise in delivering customised solutions that meet the Armed Forces’ high standards. As a subcontractor, we can respond quickly to changing needs, ensure high delivery quality, and most importantly contribute to creating local jobs in Denmark.”

Delivery of five specialised vehicle types

The new collaboration covers two major framework agreements: a procurement framework agreement lasting up to 11 years, and a maintenance agreement spanning up to 28 years. In addition to the vehicles, the contract also includes the delivery of initial logistics, spare parts, specialised tools, and training of the Armed Forces’ driving instructors, mechanics, and procurement personnel.

Initially, the Danish Armed Forces will receive five different customised variants of the G-Class, each tailored to the needs of the Defence Command, the Home Guard, the Air Force’s incident commanders, the Military Police, and the Establishment and Terrain Command. This year, vehicles will be delivered to the Establishment and Terrain Command, along with two prototypes: a basic version equipped with military and radio equipment, and a more advanced version featuring a ring mount – a roof-mounted rotating gun turret equipped with a machine gun.
